Office Garden

If the thought of setting up an office in your back garden has come to you especially while you walk through your garden and wonder how you can plan to enjoy it for longer periods of time, then you must be planning to build a sun room addition to the back of your house or of building a greenhouse with an office as an extension to use as an office garden. Both projects are worth the time and effort just to be able to enjoy the calming, restoring quality of actually living in your back garden rather than just giving it an occasional walk through.

The only other alternative to using your back garden as an office garden is to choose a sunny Southern location for your home where the office garden can be a cupola with a desk, chair, and an electrical outlet for your office machines. Of course, if you use your office just to read and to write; then a comfortable outdoor chaise and foot rest with an outdoor umbrella for shade and a folding table just might be all the office furniture you need to get long term use of your back garden as an office. It is really rather an idyllic choice of spot for an office. The back garden is generally the quietest spot in a person’s home. Street noises are generally not bothersome and you can have the privacy of your own companionship without family and other intrusions.

If you don’t live in a Southern location, then planning an office garden will take some serious thought and some expense. A greenhouse is probably your best option as it affords you the environment of a gardener and yet, can give you the privacy and all the space you will need for your office garden. Many greenhouses come with their own offices usually found in some inconspicuous corner of the greenhouse. Depending on your needs, you can add more office furniture and an electrical heating appliance to complete your office garden.

Some of these greenhouses are sold online or can be specially contracted for including the possibility of adding a sun room to the back of your house if you would like to have indoor access to your office garden. The contractor that you choose can be yourself if you make use of the many back yard buildings that are sold at gardening centers. The added addition of electricity is sometimes just a part of one of their backyard additions.

Having an office garden is really a fantastic idea with the novelty of being surrounded by total quiet probably just a temporary obstacle to making full use of your office garden. We tend to think of offices as part of noisy bustling with activity locations and the thought of an office garden is really quite different. Who knows maybe the metaphor of working around plants and trees that keep on growing will help your work to also keep on growing. It is a possibility that might entice quite a few people to plan and to execute an office garden in their back yards.
